Log Files

Whenever you access websites/applications, information is transmitted from the respective internet browser of your end device to the server of our website/application and temporarily stored in log files. The data sets stored in this process contain the following data, which are stored until automatic deletion: date and time of access, name of the accessed page, IP address of the requesting device, referrer URL (origin URL from which you came to our website), the amount of data transferred, loading time, as well as product and version information of the respective browser used, and the name of your access provider.

The legal basis for processing the IP address is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection setup,
  • Ensuring comfortable use of our website/application,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability.

A direct conclusion about your identity is not possible based on the information and will not be drawn by us.

The data will be stored and automatically deleted after the aforementioned purposes have been achieved. The standard deletion periods are based on the criterion of necessity.

Data Processing When Registering in the Shop

When you register on one of our websites/applications and enter into a contract with us, we process the data necessary for the conclusion, execution, or termination of a contract with you. These include:

  • Billing and payment data
  • Possibly telephone number

The legal basis for this is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b) of the GDPR, meaning you provide us with the data based on the respective contractual relationship (e.g., management of your customer account, processing of a purchase contract) between you and us. Additionally, we are required by law to process your email address in the event of a purchase via our websites/applications to send an electronic order confirmation (Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter c) of the GDPR).

If we do not use your data for advertising purposes (see section 3.3 below), we store the data collected for contract processing until the expiration of statutory or possible contractual warranty and guarantee rights. After this period, we retain the information required under commercial and tax law of the contractual relationship for the legally specified periods. During this period, the data will be reprocessed only in case of an audit by the tax authorities.

Transfer of Data to Transport Service Providers

For the purpose of delivering ordered goods, we work with logistics service providers/transport companies and/or shipping partners. The following data may be transferred to them for the purpose of delivering the ordered goods or for their announcement: first name, last name, postal address.

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b) of the GDPR.

Data Processing for Advertising Purposes

Your data will be used for advertising purposes. We will carry out advertising by post and email. We advertise only for our purposes and do not pass on the data to third parties. It is possible that we may use advertising agencies to carry out advertising campaigns. However, your data will only be used for our advertising. We will send you only advertising that we believe is of interest to you. We do not intend to harass you.

Notice of Right to Object

You can object to the use of your personal data for the aforementioned advertising purposes at any time free of charge with effect for the future.

If you object, your data will be blocked for further advertising data processing. We point out that in exceptional cases, even after receiving your objection, there may be a temporary dispatch of advertising material. This is technically due to the necessary lead time in the selection process and does not mean that we have not implemented your objection.

Social Media Plugins

The advertising purpose behind this is to be considered a legitimate interest under the GDPR. The responsibility for data protection-compliant operation is to be ensured by their respective providers.

Facebook, Google+

Social plugins from Facebook and Google (Google+ and YouTube) are used on this website. These are offers from the US-American companies Facebook and Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”)).

Customer Account/User Account

To offer you the greatest possible convenience, we provide you with the option of permanently storing your personal data in a password-protected customer account/user account.

Creating a customer account is generally voluntary and is based on your consent under Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) GDPR. After setting up a customer account, you do not need to re-enter your data. You can also view and change the data stored about you in your customer account at any time.

Only if you wish to place orders through our website/application is the creation of a customer account required for contract processing. The legal basis for data processing in this case (additionally) is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b) GDPR.

In addition to the data requested during an order, you must provide a self-chosen password for setting up a customer account. This, together with your email address, is used to access your customer account. Please treat your personal access data confidentially and do not make them accessible to unauthorized third parties. Please note that you will remain logged in automatically after leaving our website unless you actively log out. You can delete your customer account at any time. Please note, however, that this does not automatically delete the data visible in the customer account if you have placed an order with us. The deletion of your data will occur automatically after the expiration of the commercial and tax law retention periods applicable to us.
